My Story
My story, told honestly.
This is not a pitch deck. It is the path that shaped how I think, build, and help clients today.
I wrote my first lines of code at 17, then stepped away from it and built a 15+ year career across sales, operations, accounting, and partnerships in Suriname and the Caribbean. Co founding Unity Labs pulled me back to engineering, this time carrying every lesson from running real businesses with me. Since returning to development I have shipped 20+ projects spanning Web3, ecommerce, enterprise ERP, and mobile apps, and helped grow a blockchain community to 4,000+ members. I build software that holds up in the real world under real pressure, not just on localhost. Based in Paramaribo, Suriname. Working globally.
Work With Me
Chapter 1
Where It Started: Code at 17, Then 15 Years in Business
Hi, my name is Francisca. Thank you for visiting my portfolio. I actually wrote my first code at 17, but life pulled me in another direction and I stepped away to focus on my career and personal growth. For over a decade I worked across enterprise sales, corporate accounting, and industrial operations in Suriname and the Caribbean. I managed teams, handled budgets, organized events, and learned how businesses really run when the pressure is on. That detour was not a loss, it became my edge. When I returned to development through Unity Labs, I brought 15+ years of business context back with me, and I kept seeing the same problem: companies buying software that looked impressive in demos but fell apart in daily operations. Nobody had asked the right business questions first. That insight still drives every project I take on.

Chapter 2
Building Unity Labs: The Real Story
As Co Founder and CTO of Unity Labs, formerly SHIBU Society, I did not build this alone. Together with a global team of skilled engineers, designers, and strategists, we grew a Web3 ecosystem from zero to 4,000+ active community members. We shipped NFT collections, minting and staking dApps across EVM and Solana, built ecommerce with fiat and crypto payments, and hosted 65+ live AMA sessions on X. The wins were real: loyal holders, engaged members, and products people used. But the Web3 journey also taught hard lessons. We dealt with scammers, phishing attempts, suspicious partnerships, and security incidents that forced us to move faster, verify more carefully, and build systems with stronger safeguards. Those setbacks did not break the project. They made me a sharper founder and a more careful developer.

- • Built with a global team of skilled engineers and strategists
- • 4,000+ active community members
- • NFT collection and staking dApps on EVM and Solana
- • Global ecommerce with crypto and fiat payments
- • 65+ live AMA episodes on X
Navigating the Web3 Wild West
You learn more from the projects that go sideways than the ones that go perfectly. Building in public with a global community exposed us to risks most traditional software teams never face.
- • Scammers and impersonators taught us to tighten verification, communication, and admin controls across every platform.
- • Security incidents pushed us to audit smart contracts more carefully, protect wallets, and design safer user flows.
- • Bad actors in partnerships showed us why due diligence matters as much as speed in a fast moving market.
- • Community trust became a product feature, not a marketing line. Transparency kept loyal members with us.
Those experiences now shape how I build for clients: security first, clear scope, honest communication, and systems designed for real users under real pressure.

How I Actually Work
Most developers build features. I start with the business problem. My MBA in International Marketing and accounting background mean I think in conversion funnels, operational bottlenecks, and capital efficiency alongside component architecture. When I designed an ERP system for EXSOL Industrial, the goal was not elegant data structures. It was eliminating manual processes that were costing them deals every week. When I architect staking tools with my team at Unity Labs, the goal is retention and trust, not hype. I scope clearly, build lean, ship on timeline, and iterate based on what users actually do. If code does not serve a direct outcome like cutting costs, saving time, or driving revenue, it does not ship.
